F6NM

F6NM (UNS S41500) is a martensitic stainless steel specified by ASTM A182 (VO1.01). It stands out with excellent sub-zero notch ductility, surpassing standard 13 Cr, 410, and 420 Mod steels. Its air hardening property minimizes the risk of cracking in thick sections during heat treatment. This NACE-approved grade has a maximum hardness of 23 HRC and adheres to specific heat treatment temperature restrictions. Additionally, ASTM A182 F6NM exhibits remarkable weldability and corrosion resistance, making it widely used in the production of Valve Bodies, Flanges, Seats, Gates, and Tubulars. for use in springs or heavily stressed parts operating at sub-zero temperatures.
