15-5PH
Alloy 15-5 is a precipitation hardening alloy known for its high strength and hardness, combined with moderate corrosion resistance. It is a modified version of the older 17-4 alloy, specifically designed to offer improved toughness, particularly in the through-thickness (short transverse) direction. This makes Alloy 15-5 ideal for applications that demand high transverse strength and toughness, including engine parts, aircraft components, nuclear reactor components, and more.
